In this article, you will learn how to succesfully create your first Zap so you can use it with AutoFunnel. For this example, we're going to use a Mailchimp account, but you can replace it with your own CRM if you use a different one!
Currently, the integration with Mailchimp is handled through Zapier. Your AutoFunnel account must be connected to Zapier, you can do it by following this link.
- From your Zapier console, click on an existing Zap, or create a new one:
- Click on Trigger:
- A new window will open, search "AutoFunnel" in the field and select it:
- A new menu will display on the right side of the screen, click on the event dropdown and select "Add New Customer" and then click on continue:
- Now you will be asked to select which AutoFunnel account you wish to use, make sure to select your account from the list and click on continue:
- Now you will need to select which Funnel and page will activate this trigger, make sure to select the right funnel and the page of your funnel that contains the payment or subscription form and click on continue:
- Now we can go ahead and test our trigger, click on test and Zapier will map through recent customers and show you a list with their information, click continue with selected records:
- Select Mailchimp from the list of available actions:
- Select an event from the dropdown list and click continue:
- Now, we can connect our Zapier account with our Mailchimp account, click on Mailchimp and you will see a new window open, login with your Mailchimp credentials:
- Once connected, you will be asked to select your audience, which in this case, will be the recent customers provided by AutoFunnel, make sure to fill in the fields with the corresponding tags:
13. Now we can go ahead and test our action, click on Test and Zapier will send the note to Mailchimp and display the results, now you can click on publish:
That's it! You have successfully connected Mailchimp with Zapier, now you're ready to start creating email campaigns, adding new customers and start automating the whole process.
Keep in mind that you must create one Zap per page, for example, if you have a checkout page and then an upsell page, then you must create one Zap for each.
Important note: Zapier will map the information entered on the forms in your funnel page, it's crucial to make sure that the input fields have the correct category so the information can be properly passed by AF to Zapier.
